The North Georgia Blue Ridge in March. The air is a contradiction—chilly enough to demand wool in the evenings yet warm enough to sit by the pool and contemplate.
Gather with us at the edge of the woods. Spend the morning in your rocker, watching the mist roll by like a secret being kept by the mountains. In the distance, a pileated woodpecker hammers away at a dead pine—a rhythmic, primitive drumbeat for a season that hasn’t quite decided if it’s winter or spring.
The Lodge is a place for people who don’t mind a little mud on their boots and a lot of silence in their heads.

Stay in one of our simple, yet comfortable, rooms in The Lodge, just steps from Young Cane Creek with windows that look out - not onto manicured lawns - but on something wilder, something untamed: a mountain creek, a silver ribbon carving its way through the landscape in the North Georgia Mountains. This is not available in cities!

Our Lodge Rooms feature a Queen bed, bathroom, mini fridge, coffee station, TV, Wi-Fi and free parking. The lower level guest lobby is equipped with a microwave and toaster that Lodge guests are welcome to use. All rooms are non-smoking. Each room has access to a shared patio that overlooks the creek running through The Copperhead Lodge property. All lodge visitors staying with us have seasonal access to the Copperhead Lodge pool and Hillside Fire Pit.
Please note: Lodge rooms are located in the main building beneath our restaurant that serves until 8pm weeknights Tuesday - Thursday and 9pm Friday & Saturday. You can DEFINATELY hear the restaurant on Tuesday - Saturday as our lodge is vintage hewn wood construction. Please do not book if you need complete quiet before we close. If you need early quiet time, consider booking a cabin with us!
***When booking be sure to specify whether or not you prefer a pet-friendly room. Not all bedrooms are pet-friendly in order to accommodate those with allergies and we do charge a small fee to cover additional cleaning and sanitation.

The space is generous, appointed with two hand-made queen beds, dressed in crisp, high-thread-count cotton sheets. Not the stiff, starched kind, but linen that feels as though it remembers the wind whistling through the peaks. The light from the window falls in a long, golden slant across the heart-pine floor in the afternoon, just as the sun begins its slow descent.
After a day of vigorous, contemplative walking among the pines and oak, or perhaps simply contemplating from the porch with a glass of something amber and warming, the two-person spa tub offers a necessary indulgence. Submerge yourself in the swirling heat. Let the jets work their magic on muscles you forgot you had. The water, drawn from a spring deep within the mountain itself. Close your eyes, and you'll swear you can hear the faint, echoing call of a lone whippoorwill, long after the stars have emerged.

The Bunkroom is Back! Traveling with a small group of buddies? Our bunkroom is available again. Rent By-The-Bunk! (Note: Other travelers may join you as this is a semi-private room). Make new friends on your travels! Each bunkbed is a double bed on bottom and a twin on top. This room has access to the lodge’s shared patio through the lodge’s lobby. The bunkroom is non-smoking.
